Urbane Cafe is fantastic! The salads and sandwiches are always so fresh and delicious. I've never had a meal I didn't enjoy. My favorite is the chimichurri steak sandwich--the steak is so tender and juicy! The salad is also a standout, with feta, balsamic, and mandarins. I always leave feeling satisfied. Parking can be a challenge, especially around lunch, so I go during off hours. This location is quite busy, likely due to USD and the county office of education nearby.

We love Urbane Cafe. The sandwich/salad combos are very reasonably priced and delicious. I tried the gluten free bread recently and it was surprisingly really good. My go to is the Chicken SoCal. The kids meals are a great value and kid approved.

Super tasty food , the staff is also so friendly , very little wait time and cool atmosphere .

UPDATE ON TIPPING I've been to this location a few times and it's typically pretty busy. Usually people are always placing orders. the second time I placed an online order, the recommended tipping was inaccurate. See photo for example. I don't think these workers don't deserve more cash for their work, but why are you deceiving us into paying for your employees' livelihood when you should be doing that yourself! UPDATE - After the business owner reply, I decided to do some more investigation because I doubt any business would try to publicly deny something factual. Sooo I remembered that the app offered me a free drink, this wasn't included in the price total but was used to calculate the tipping cost. Disregard the above, but definitely still highly rated. In other words, my mistake and I apologize I did see something recently about how this is happening at businesses and was looking out for the community

The manager of this establishment DESERVES AN EPIC RAISE. This was my first time eating at this what appears to be a corporate chain of American style sandwich shop in a predominantly college-aged area - think SLAMMED as an understatement. The service, overall, considering the conditions of the demand of crowd present and the crowd ordering their fare on-line, was decent and most seemed in a light and effort full way. In a time where we all seem to be carrying an extra load, from finances to the general state of life, this manager was juggling multiple balls from orders, to customers, to crowd control, to food service, to table service, LITERALLY ALL OF IT and I even had to notify her that my beloved shirley temple drink needed attention because the flavoring and carbonation was way off - she took it all in stride and kept the place mooooo-ving! The food was slightly above typical in taste - pastrami sandwich that came with a salad was nicely prepared and tasted just right for a lunch meeting. These places RUN RIGHT because of the staff. While I find customer service in general has fallen into below the level of all things, this place offered a simple reminder that wait staff truly make the difference in whether people will return or not, food can be sent back, refunded, made to order once again etc. WAIT STAFF can truly break a place. HATS OFF to the manager who kept this place at FULL TILT on the very hectic lunch day July 3, 2024. It is my bad for not getting her name - I hope you're reading this and have a smile on your face, a cool drink in your hand, your feet up, in a cool room or cool pool knowing you make a sandwich cafe better because you're in charge.

A pleasant surprise cafe!! I wasn't expect much, but it really delivered amazing food at a reasonably cheap price!!! I was going to University of San Diego and need a bite real fast close by. This cafe is just about 3 minutes drive from the university. So I decided to give it a try. We got the Pesto sundried tomato chicken sandwich and Santa Maria BBQ chicken sandwich, both for under $12 and served with a side salad. The sandwich taste great and the salad is fresh. Looking to try some other of their food next time.

I could write endless poems about my love of Urbane Cafe. Specifically, the focaccia bread served with every meal. IYKYK. If you have the pleasure of visiting Urbane Cafe, you'll understand the hype. This place is serving up fresh and flavorful dishes that you wouldn't normally expect from a fast casual restaurant. I ordered the ahi tuna bowl and wouldn't have changed a thing about it. The portion sizes are pretty big and the flavor combinations are excellent. The prices might seem steep, but after getting my food I felt they were fair. This location was very clean, but quite small on the inside. There's some seating out front but don't be surprised if it's tough to find a spot during peak hours.

I LOVE the sandwiches here! My favorite one had to be the Californian, it's vegetate and has got avocado, mushrooms and artichoke hearts in it. You cant go wrong with that combo! The staff was very friendly and fast. The restaurant itself was very clean but there isn't too much seating inside. There are about four or five tables inside and maybe four small tables outside. There is a parking lot but it is shared by the whole complex so it can be hard to find parking at times. The restaurant is dog friendly as well! I highly recommend trying this place at least once if you have yet! You will not be disappointed
